The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who want to remove mopping from their to-do lists. They have impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.

It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well however, this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home, detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.

App-based customization is another notable feature.  robot vacuums uk  allows you to adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

The device is costly, however it has many useful features. It is important to remember that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or just want a cleaner home without spending hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes a microfiber pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were pleasant jingles to inform you that it was starting and finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it has some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base has a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This was a rare incident, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
